Thoroughly analyze the existing appliance chassis, meticulously identifying any potential pain points or usability challenges, and formulating targeted solutions to overcome them.
Leverage the given chassis as a foundation and introduce a sleek metal front bezel, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality to elevate the overall design.
Innovatively incorporate LED lighting indications for each hard drive through the front bezel, ensuring optimal visibility and readability for Cisco technicians, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
If required, reimagine the design of the hard drive itself, applying ergonomic principles to enhance the "pull handle" and create a more user-friendly experience during maintenance and operation.
Contribution
Engaged in a collaborative partnership with an esteemed internal development engineer, jointly presenting a compelling range of innovative concepts and prototypes to the upper management for their comprehensive evaluation and feedback.
Introduced a groundbreaking hinge mechanism for the front bezel, enabling effortless lifting or pulling down to access the appliance. The magnetic closure system securely fastens the front bezel onto the main chassis, ensuring optimal safety and protection.
Revolutionized the design of the hard drive by extending the LED housing, significantly enhancing visibility and delivering an enhanced user experience. Employing an ergonomic approach, meticulously reimagined the pull handle design to optimize comfort and usability during operation and maintenance.

The successful completion of the inaugural project at Cisco paved the way for an esteemed role as a presenter at Cisco Design Tech Week 2012, where the exceptional contributions were acknowledged with a prestigious Presenter Award, recognizing the valuable contributions made to the Central Engineering Department.
Embracing an integrated approach, seamlessly assimilated into the esteemed Central Engineering Department as a valuable team member, spearheading the generation of an array of cutting-edge design concepts and ingenious solutions for prominent and high-impact endeavors, including the notable projects of JawBreaker, Kingfisher, Porter, Porter USB, Sagaris, Stout FE, and Veyron (each assigned an internal code name), further amplifying the department's portfolio of noteworthy achievements.

Crafted with precision and finesse, the front bezel showcases a clean and minimalistic design language, expertly machined from a solid block of CNC metal and treated with a lustrous zinc plating. The result is a captivating semi-gloss silver finish, accentuating its sleek contours and offering a futuristic and jewel-like appeal, while providing a cool-to-touch surface.
FUNCTION
Ingeniously engineered, the bezel features recessed pull notches on each side, allowing for effortless handling and installation in tight spaces above and below. The extendable hinge mechanism further enhances accessibility, ensuring smooth operation and flexibility. With the integration of a magnet closure system, the bezel securely and seamlessly closes onto the main chassis, providing a reliable and cohesive assembly.
