Design Challenge

1. Designing Enhanced iPhone Protection: Creating sketches and ideation for multi-layered materials presented the challenge of achieving improved iPhone protection while maintaining a sleek design.

1. Collaboration with New Mechanical Engineer: Working with a newly hired mechanical engineer required effective communication and coordination to align their expertise with the design goals and ensure seamless collaboration.

2. Establishing Advanced Engineering Standards: Investing in a drop testing facility and implementing impact measurements from a rational engineering perspective introduced a higher technical level, necessitating the establishment of new standards and methodologies.

Contribution

1. Utilizing 3D Modeling and Prototyping: Overcoming challenges in accurate 3D modeling, 3D printed prototypes, and product specifications to ensure optimal design iterations and feasibility.

2. Collaborating with Overseas Factory: Overcoming logistical and communication challenges when working with an overseas factory to ensure proper injection molding techniques and rapid sample production.

3. Meeting Urgent Sales Window Opportunities: Adapting to tight sales windows and urgent opportunities required meticulous planning, efficient project management, and close collaboration with the overseas factory to deliver timely solutions.
